Abstract :

In this article, Navidad Sánchez Marcos, vice president of SEFAC Madrid, advocates for the need to add community pharmacists to the COVID-19 control strategy in the face of the current evolution of the pandemic, which has saturated primary care facilities and once again has the health system on the brink of collapse. While the only impediment to rapid COVID-19 testing in community pharmacies resides in Spanish law, SEFAC trusts there will be political will to ensure the regulation is adapted to current needs.
