Abstract :

A 46-year-old man, 96.2 kg, 172 cm, pluripatological, who underwent a renopancreatic transplant in 2013 for type I diabetes mellitus that was not controlled in his adolescence, goes to the pharmacy to get his usual medication. While there, a DRP (drug-related problem), a lack of treatment adherence is detected, of the three drugs prescribed to the patient to treat his high blood pressure, he is not taking the 5 mg amlodipine, because it is “not effective for his headaches” (which is why he believes his doctor has prescribed it).

At the time, his blood pressure is taken at the community pharmacy showing values higher than the recommended levels (140/90 mmHg according to the clinical practice guidelines for this situation).
