Abstract : 

We are witnessing a progressive demographic aging in Spain, which in the coming decades will worsen in a more palpable way. This irreversible change in the population pyramid is already a reality of unsettling prognosis: in the year 2060, people over 65 will represent more than a third - specifically, 35.6% - of the total Spanish population.

Organizations such as the European Observatory of  Health Systems and Policies have not yet found formulas to adapt the diseases prevention and management processes to the new socio-health reality. There is will, but there are no mechanisms.
